Early-Bird Deadline on 30 April – Travel, Accommodation and Childcare Updates
We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to Graz in July. With more than 1300 active participants currently expected, ECMTB 2026 is shaping up to be a truly memorable event.
Here are a few practical reminders:
Early-bird registration: The deadline for early-bird registration is 30 April 2026. Please note that registration is only considered complete once the registration fee has been paid in full by that date. If you wish to benefit from the early-bird rate, please make sure to register and settle payment in good time via our registration page.
Accommodation: Given the expected attendance, we strongly recommend making travel and lodging arrangements as soon as possible. Please see our Accommodation page for details. In particular, we cooperate with Graz Tourism, which has created an ECMTB-specific hotel booking portal with discounted rates here.
Fraud warning: If you are contacted by any other company regarding hotel booking or conference travel arrangements, please treat such messages as potentially fraudulent or spam. If you are unsure, feel free to contact us at support@ecmtb2026.org.
Travel: Please also consult our Travel Information page. While Graz has an efficient airport, Vienna, Klagenfurt and even Munich are also well connected to Graz by train and bus. Please also note the conference discount for train travel; details are included in your registration confirmation email.
Childcare: We warmly welcome participants in need of childcare services. More information is available on our Childcare page.
Programme updates: For further news regarding the conference programme and other updates, keep an eye on our Bluesky account @ecmtb2026.org.
Call for Contributions Closed – Review and Scheduling Updates
The deadline for submitting contributed talks and poster presentations has now passed. We would like to thank everyone who submitted their work to ECMTB 2026. The scientific committee is currently busy reviewing the large number of submissions we have received.
Here are a few updates on what comes next:
Contributed talks and posters: Acceptance notices will be sent out on a rolling basis. The first notifications are expected to go out starting next week, i.e. from 30 March 2026 onwards.
Minisymposia: Minisymposium organisers have received instructions on how to submit the metadata for the talks in their sessions. If you are a minisymposium organiser and have not received these instructions, please contact us at support@ecmtb2026.org.
Programme planning: Our programme team is currently working on an intermediate schedule. Minisymposium organisers will be the first to see this version. We expect to publish a public draft of the schedule once all acceptance notices have been sent out — around mid to end of April.
Travel and accommodation: If you are planning to attend ECMTB 2026, now is also a good time to start thinking about your travel arrangements and hotel booking. We have partnered with Graz Tourism to offer a limited number of hotel rooms at special rates for conference participants. You can find the booking page here.
We will continue to share updates here as the review and scheduling process moves forward.
