Registration, Programme and Mentoring Updates

With ECMTB 2026 approaching, here are several important updates and reminders for participants and speakers.

Regular registration ends on Monday, 15 June 2026 (anywhere on earth). If you intend to attend the conference and have not yet completed and paid your registration fee, please do so as soon as possible via the registration page. Contributions without registered speaker(s) will have to be cancelled.

Updated preliminary programme: Our programme team has released a new version of the preliminary conference schedule. Please see the Programme page for details. Speakers are asked to search for their contribution and check whether all details are entered as intended. Cancellations aside, we do not expect significant further changes to the current schedule. A feature allowing participants to bookmark contributions and build their own schedule is currently being worked on and will be available soon.

If you can no longer attend ECMTB 2026 but have an accepted contribution, please reach out to us via email at support@ecmtb2026.org.

Accommodation: Hotel reservations organised in cooperation with Graz Tourism remain available until 26 June 2026. Please see our Accommodation page or the Graz Tourism booking portal.

SMB mentoring programmes: Sign-ups are open for mentoring at SMB/ECMTB. Both mentors and mentees are welcome, including early-career researchers. Please complete the local mentoring sign-up form by 15 June 2026 (coordinated by Stacey Smith?).

There will also be year-round SMB mentoring pods for junior scholars and senior researchers willing to lead groups over the next academic year. Apply via the mentoring pod form by 14:00 on Wednesday, 15 July 2026. For questions, contact Elissa Schwartz at ejs@wsu.edu.
